FOCUS

Our expertise

Our team have been working with Li-ion batteries since 2007 with expertise from automotive, transport, motorsport & defence sectors.

Using industry leading best practice.

Our battery module and pack build lines operate using industry best practices.

Our processes and testing capabilities

We have a range of in-process and end-of-line testing capabilities.

Design & Define

Laser welding

Our precision technology creates high-quality bonds for cell connections and busbars, enabling compact designs, improved performance, and efficient production of custom battery packs. We offer versatile solutions for various materials and thicknesses, enhancing product quality and reducing manufacturing costs.

Laser cleaning

Our advanced laser cleaning equipment features a Trumpf TruMark laser system. Operating at pulse frequencies up to 200,000 Hz, this precision machinery employs a sophisticated ablation process to thoroughly prepare surfaces. By removing contaminants and microscopic debris, our laser cleaning technology significantly improves the wirebonding process performance.

Wirebonding

Our two Hesse Bondjet wire bonders enable us to create low resistance joints within our systems with flexibility, precision and speed. While in-process testing and monitoring assures repeatability and confidence in the quality of the joints being established.

Heatstaking

Our automated heatstaking system uses a robotic cell to precisely melt and form plastic rods. This advanced process securely attaches components like flexible printed circuits without additional structural elements. By eliminating extra fasteners, our technology streamlines assembly, reduces costs, and enhances product integrity, all while maintaining consistent, high-quality results.

Plasma cleaning

Our multi-axis plasma treatment system cleans and increases the surface energy of the engineering plastics that we use in our battery packs. The improved adhesion, with lower variability, allows us to reduce the size of the adhesive area. Less glue equals a lighter, more environmentally responsible product.
